Life really comes at you fast. I realize that I haven't posted in almost two years, and let me tell you why.
First of all, I just had a baby! She is the light of my life, and I honestly never thought I could love someone this much.
Second, I went through some massive heartbreak. My high school sweetheart, and the man who I truly consider to be my first love, broke my heart. He ended things while I was completely alone at school, three hours away from friends and family. November 7th was the second anniversary of the day he broke up with me, and I've only recently started to work through my feelings and heal.
Third, I am a single mother so life has been rough to say the least. But so worth it.
But through all of that, these last two years, I'd like to highlight the good things. I reconnected with my best friend fro high school. I met my current best friend, and the three of us together are squad goals. I realized that the man who's been my best friend for 6 years (we met our sophomore year of high school) is basically the love of my life. We both have a lot of emotions and hardships to work through, but it's been amazing to have him by my side through my journey of motherhood so far, and to see him with my daughter just melts my heart. I also got recruited for my new job, a manger/ sales lead with an absolutely amazing company, Ann Taylor LOFT. The starting pay is enough where I can provide for my daughter and still be home plenty.
I've learned so much about myself in these last two years, and eventually through my blog posts I'll recap each event as I feel they need to be discussed. But for now I am so excited where my life is and where it's heading, and I hope the amazing uphill journey just continues from here.
